VYSHYVANKA DAY 2020
Every year on the third Thursday in May we celebrate the Ukrainian embroidered shirt - the vyshyvanka. More than a traditional clothing piece, the vyshyvanka has come to be a symbol of unity that connects Ukrainians worldwide. At a time when we aren't able to physically come together, may the vyshyvanka hold the common thread that stitches us together. Although we wish we could gather to celebrate in person this year, we are excited to celebrate with friends beyond our Manitoba borders! We reached out to musicians, artists, academics and politicians that are connected to Oseredok to bring everyone greetings on Vyshyvanka Day.
ДЕНЬ ВИШИВАНКИ 2020
Щороку третій четвер травня є святом української вишитої сорочки - Вишиванки. Вишиванка є символом єднання українців в усьому світі. І хоча нажаль ми не можемо зібратись разом, нехай Вишиванка об'єднає нас! Ми радо святкуємо з нашими друзями в Манітобі і за її межами! До нас відгукнулись музиканти, митці, науковці і політики щоб привітати Осередок і нашу громаду з Днем Вишиванки.
