METROPOLITAN LAWRENCE EXPLAINS LECTIO DIVINA
April 3, 2019
METROPOLITAN LAWRENCE HUCULAK SHARES THE 'SECRET' OF SUCCESSFUL BIBLE READING
The Archbishop of Winnipeg, Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak, explains the very simple yet extremely beneficial method of meditative Scripture reading known as "Lectio Divina".
The brief video tells the viewer of where to find the resources that are already around them to experience a successful Bible reading. One can do this for oneself, or, even better, organize such a mini "Bible study" that would involve the whole family or group of co-workers or friends.
Many of the great Saints and Leaders in the history of the Church and today - engage in Lectio Divina to better live their liturgical prayer and to better understand and personalize God's living Word - the Bible.
This video recording was done in connection with this year's National Week for Life and the Family (NWLF) here in Manitoba. You will want to visit the special website established for the NWLF. There you will find other very user-friendly explanations and materials for yourself, but especially for your FAMILY - which is the focus of NWLF 2019. Visit the website [NOW] and take time to explore it all!
Here is a pamphlet from the Eparchy of Stamford that offers a simple format in making the daily reading of Holy Scripture - i.e. the Bible - part of your life.
