THE CANADIAN CNEWA SHARES REPORT ON ITS SUPPORT OF CHURCH ACTIVITY IN UKRAINE
The Catholic Near East Welfare Association of Canada has been collaborating for a number of years now with donors in Canada - especially Ukrainian Catholic bishops and eparchies - to help the Church's efforts in Ukraine. CNEWA has become famous throughout the world for its amazing efforts in fundraising and offering much needed aid to the Church throughout the Middle East and eventually to all Eastern Churches - also in Eastern Europe. The Church in Ukraine has been no exception. CNEWA has been offering help to many pastoral programs throughout Ukraine. As the report shows, this has included training programs, relief efforts, building projects and support to clergy, religious and others working for the mission of Christ's Church the wonderful, yet often troubled country of Ukraine.
The report opens with a message from the Archbishop of Winnipeg, Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak - who is a member of the Canadian board of Directors of CNEWA. The pages of the report are filled with stories, articles and pictures that will amaze the reader. There is a lot going on in Ukraine and thanks to generous donors from around Canada and the assistance of the Catholic Near East Welfare Association - there are many success stories!
