Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg is pleased to announce the ordination of Protodeacon Stefan Tyrawski to the Order of Holy Priesthood. This sacred and joyful occasion will take place during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy celebrated by Bishop Andriy Rabiy on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:00 PM. The Liturgy will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral of Sts. Volodymyr and Olha, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Following the Ordination Liturgy, a formal reception will be held at the Protection of the Mother of God church hall, located at 965 Boyd Avenue. This gathering offers an opportunity to celebrate with the newly ordained priest, his family, and the broader faith community. Tickets for the reception must be purchased in advance. Parishioners and guests are encouraged to refer to the event poster or contact the parish office for ticketing information.

The following day, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Fr. Stefan Tyrawski will celebrate his First Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM at St. Nicholas Church, located at 737 Bannerman Avenue in Winnipeg. This milestone Liturgy will be followed by a special time for individual priestly blessings, during which Fr. Stefan will impart his newly received priestly blessing to all who attend.

This is a moment of immense significance, not only for Fr. Stefan and his family but also for the entire archeparchial community, as they welcome a new servant into the vineyard of the Lord. The ordination of a new priest is a profound expression of God's grace and an occasion for spiritual renewal and joy for all the faithful.

Metropolitan Lawrence, Bishop Andriy, and Fr. Stefan warmly invite all parishioners, clergy, and friends to share in these blessed celebrations. Let us gather in unity and prayer to support Fr. Stefan as he begins his ministry in service to Christ and His Church.

"You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek" (Psalm 110:4).
