Metropolitan Lawrence Continues to Receive Treatment After COVID Diagnosis

Winnipeg, MB. October 11, 2024 - Metropolitan Lawrence remains hospitalized as he continues to receive treatment following his COVID diagnosis on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
After experiencing shortness of breath and other moderate symptoms, Metropolitan Lawrence was admitted to the ICU at a Winnipeg hospital. Further tests revealed that the virus had significantly impacted his respiratory system and kidneys. He is currently on a ventilator to aid in his recovery.
"We are very thankful for the excellent medical care Metropolitan Lawrence is receiving and for the prayers and support from our faithful, clergy, and religious," said Bishop Andriy, auxiliary bishop of the Archeparchy of Winnipeg. "We trust the good Lord will look down mercifully upon Metropolitan Lawrence and heal him from his infirmity."
