July 3, 2024

On June 15th, Ukrainian Park witnessed a remarkable day filled with community spirit and dedication as volunteers from across the Archeparchy of Winnipeg came together to prepare the park's facilities for the new camping season and Catholic Children's Camp. The event, was supported by the Knights of Columbus of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg (KUCA) and numerous other organizations.

The volunteers' generosity in donating their time and skills was deeply appreciated. Their contributions are crucial in helping Ukrainian Park fulfill its mission of serving the community. By taking on multiple tasks, the volunteers ensured that the park remains a welcoming and well-maintained space for everyone to enjoy.

The day was marked by various maintenance and repair activities, addressing essential needs within the park. One of the standout projects of the day was the thorough cleaning and rejuvenation of the chapel. Thanks to the meticulous efforts of our volunteers, the chapel now stands as a refreshed and inviting place for worship and reflection. The improvements made during this event will help ensure that Ukrainian Park and Camp continues to be a vibrant and accessible space for all campers and visitors.

We express heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers for their willingness to donate their time and talents. The dedication and hard work of this year volunteers and the Knight of Columbus from St. Anne Council, St. Basils Council and St. Josaphat Council are key factors in the ongoing success of Ukrainian Park and Camp. With ongoing support, Ukrainian Park and Catholic Children's Camp will continue to thrive and serve the needs of the community for years to come. A final thank you goes out to Don Dubik for spearheading the event, we are grateful for your assistance and dedication.
