Fr. VICTOR YAKOWCHUK RESTED IN THE LORD

With sad hearts we announce, that Fr. Victor Yakowchuk fell asleep peacefully in the Lord on Saturday, February 17 at Holy Family Nursing Home.

Fr. Victor first completed a career in the Canadian Armed Forces before pursuing his vocation to sacred orders and becoming a deacon and a priest in the Archeparchy of Winnipeg.

Fr. Victor has been residing at Holy Family Home since he had a stroke. Even though the illness restricted Fr. Victor from fully exercising some aspects of his ministry, he always remained an active priest and fulfils his priestly ministry in a way that his fragile body allowed him.

Priestly Parastas will be celebrated on Friday February 23, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Neepawa MB, at 10:30 am., Internment to follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa.
