Summer Day Camps for Children
Early in the efforts of the Archeparchy of Winnipeg to respond to the need to help Ukraine and the mounting refugees fleeing the war-torn country, Metropolitan Lawrence asked that each parish would designate one or more representative(s) that would be the contact for refugee aid efforts. Well, one group of such parish volunteers have identified a need and are trying to organize Children's Summer Day Camps for the children of newcomers in particular. These camps would serve as opportunities for children to gain the language skills and cultural information that will be helpful to them, while allowing their parents to also settle in, learn a new language, secure employment, etc. These reps can be contacted via
