POPE FRANCIS TO CONSECRATE UKRAINE & RUSSIA ON THE FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATON
MARCH 25, 2022
Pope Francis, upon the appeal of Catholic Bishops in Ukraine, has announced that he and his Cardinal delegate will lead the Bishops and the whole Church in a special consecration of Ukraine and Russia on March 25 - the Feast of the Annunciation. His Holiness, Pope Francis will lead the consecration from Rome on that Friday at 5:00 PM (11:00 AM Winnipeg), while his delegate Cardinal Konrad Krajewski (who recently visited Ukraine), will lead the consecration from Fatima, Portugal. Fatima, of course, is the site of the world-renowned Marian apparition where, among other things, the Mother of God spoke about the "Consecration of Russia".
Parishes are asked to join in this consecration on March 25 with a local event, and to follow the Novena leading up to that extraordinary day. Information about the Novena and a brief daily Novena prayer can be found [HERE]. There will be an Archeparchial event lead by Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak on that day.
