O. KOSHETZ CHOIR BEGINS 75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
February 25, 2021
TO CELEBRATE THEIR 75TH ANNIVERSARY, THE
O. KOSHETZ CHOIR
INVITES ALL TO A SERIES OF VIRTUAL PERFORMANCES
As part of their 75th Anniversary celebrations, the Oleksandr Koshetz Choir is pleased announce the release today [25 February 2021] of their 4th virtual choir performance!
Today's song is a tribute to Lesya Ukrainka - born 150 years ago February 25, 1871 - prior to any official records of the immigration to Canada by any our families. Her detailed biography can be found in Wikipedia[HERE].
Within the song, and in our Winnipeg souls, we also celebrate the coming of spring - the sun is an incredible harbinger of not only warmth - but smiles and good spirits associated with the coming months.
2021 is also the 75th Anniversary for the founding of the O. Koshetz Choir by Tetiana Koshetz. Prior to the pandemic we were looking at a year of celebrations. Plans have changed and this virtual release is the first of our 75th anniversary celebrations of a virtual nature over the next few months. Right now our in-person plans are aiming for Koshetz at 77 - so we won't miss 75 - but will push it forward to a time when it makes sense to celebrate more.
Please enjoy....
