JUBILEE YEAR CONCLUDES THIS MONTH

The Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy which officially began on December 8, 2015 is now coming to an end this month. Pope Francis will formally close the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome at the 10:00 AM Mass on Sunday November 20th, while Metropolitan Lawrence, also at 10:00 AM (albeit some seven hours later) will close the Holy Door at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Cathedral (115 McGregor Str.) in Winnipeg. The Archeparchy’s other Holy Door – at the Martyr’s Shrine of Blessed Vasyl’ Velychkovsky at St. Joseph’s Church (250 Jefferson Ave.) will also be closed on the morning of November 20th.

There is also a Jubilee Year Musical Cantata that will be performed at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral on November 15th. St. Charles Catholic School invites you to a free Musical Cantata to commemorate the Jubilee Year of Mercy at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:30 PM. The students of St Charles Catholic School in collaboration with House of Peace, U of M Bison Men’s Chorus, supported by a professional instrumental ensemble, will be performing.  EVERYONE IS INVITEDPLEASE COME!
