TOGETHER WE STAND WITH UKRAINE

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) - Manitoba invites everyone to a series of events to commemorate the second anniversary of the horrific war in Ukraine. The events will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from February 23 to 25, 2024, and will include a screening of "Twenty Days in Mariupol", the Oscar nominated documentary, at the Franco-Manitobain Cultural Center on Friday, February 23, at 6:30PM. A Moleben for Peace service will be celebrated at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church at 11AM, followed by a procession and a Panakhyda (requiem) service at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral led by Metropolitan Lawrence at 12:30PM, on Saturday, February 24. A Solidarity Rally will be at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights on Sunday, February 25, at 2PM. The events are organized in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, the Manitoba Provincial Council of the UCC, and the Ukrainian Canadian Institute Prosvita. The events aim to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the war, to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, and to celebrate the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people.
