Ukrainian Catholic Foundation of Canada

The Ukrainian Catholic Foundation of Canada was established as a public organization on January 1, 2006. Its headquarters are located in Winnipeg, and it is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of eight members.

Main Objectives

The Foundation’s purpose is to receive, preserve, and manage the capital of trust funds, bequest funds, grants, and donations, and to distribute net income in accordance with the written mandate or instructions of donors. The main areas of activity include the development of charitable, educational, and outreach activities of Ukrainian organizations in Canada. The Foundation also accepts general donations, for which donors are issued charity receipts.

Financial Data

As of 2024, the Foundation manages ten separate trust funds, with a total amount exceeding 4.8 million US dollars. Investments consist of diversified fixed-income securities, fixed-income funds, stocks, mutual funds, and equity funds. These investments are managed by professional external investment managers. Net income is subject to the state of financial markets.

How to Support the Foundation

Friends and supporters can help the Foundation grow its capital base by creating their own named funds, which will be managed on their behalf on a perpetual basis.

Organizations are invited to apply for grants from the Ukrainian Catholic Foundation of Canada to implement cultural and educational projects. The application form is available here:
