On September 7, 2025, All Saints of Ukraine Parish began a new chapter in its history by celebrating its first Divine Liturgy at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Morden. The Liturgy was celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Andriy Rabiy and Fr. Mykhaylo Khomitskyy, marking a hopeful new beginning for our parish.
Our parish extends heartfelt gratitude to the community of St. Thomas Anglican Church for their warm hospitality and generosity. The relationship with the Anglican community began in August 2024, when we first partnered to host a fundraiser at St. Thomas during the Corn and Apple Festival. Since then, our communities have shared many meaningful moments, including an Easter Bake Sale, a joint Thanksgiving dinner, and another successful fundraiser at this year’s festival.
This partnership has provided us with a beautiful worship space for our Divine Liturgies and will allow us to host other parish activities, including catechism classes, youth meetings, coffee gatherings, and joint charity events.

Although our parish may be small, with just over 40 families, we are mighty in spirit. In his homily, Bishop Andriy reminded us of what truly matters: “It is not about quantity, but about quality that attracts.”
Indeed, our parishioners have continually shown great generosity, dedication, and love — both for our parish and for Ukraine.
With many young families and children in our community, this new home is truly a blessing. We look forward to enriching our parish life with new and returning activities, such as:
Catechism classes for children before Sunday Divine Liturgy
Regular coffee gatherings and fellowship after services
Preparations for Christmas 2025
Strengthening ties with other Ukrainian Greek Catholic parishes and local Ukrainian communities
During our gathering after the Liturgy, we also reflected on the future of our parish, including the important goal of welcoming a permanent priest to serve our community and the steps needed to make this a reality.
We are sincerely grateful to Bishop Andriy for his inspiring homily and for blessing our parishioners, especially our schoolchildren and students, as they begin the new academic year.

We embark on this new chapter with hearts full of hope, gratitude, and faith. With Christ as our guide, we are confident that we will joyfully embrace the journey ahead, walking together as one parish family toward eternity.
We also invite you to join us for Sunday Divine Liturgies at St. Thomas Anglican Church (131 8th Street, Morden, MB), starting at 2:30 PM. For more information, please call Fr. Mykhaylo at 204.390.7521 or find us on Facebook (Ukrainian Catholic Parish of Morden).
