87th MEMORIAL OF THE HOLODOMOR GENOCIDE OF MILLIONS OF UKRAINIANS

This year marks the 87th anniversary of the horrific 1932-1933 "Holodomor". This heartless genocide of millions of people that was orchestrated, because they would not follow the government's grand plan to restructure society in a manner that the government insisted was best for them and the whole country... and eventually the world. The Holodomor saw millions of people die from starvation in the streets and in their own homes. First the weaker, the elderly, the children and then everyone - not because there was nothing to eat, but because they were not allowed access to it. They could not grow it. They could not leave their homes to find it. They had to learn to conform and even then, for many, that opportunity was not permitted as they had shown themselves to be poor citizens.

We need to remember the Holodomor, not only to remind ourselves of historic totalitarianism and not only to remember the victims, but especially to learn and to say "never again!"
