On June 13, a Tri-Deanery get-together was held in St. Viator's Parish church in the city of Dauphin starting with Mass at 11:00 am. The Mass, of course, was attended by parishioners as well.

Traditionally, for years, priests from three deaneries get together once a year, usually in mid-June, to concelebrate a Eucharistic Liturgy, enjoy some fellowship and deliberate matters of mutual pastoral interest for the good of the Faithful of Western Manitoba. The deaneries include the Dauphin Deanery of the Archeparchy of Winnipeg and two deaneries of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg - the Westman Deanery and the Parkland Deanery. The Deanery of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy covers basically the same territory as the two Roman Catholic deaneries. The present Dean of Dauphin is Very Rev. Oleg Bodnarski, who also serves as Pastor of Holy Resurrection Parish and a number of other parishes and missions in the area.

Each of the Deaneries takes a turn at hosting the event at one of the parishes of the respective deanery. Last year, the Ukrainian Catholic parish of the Dean hosted the event. This year the event was held at After the Mass, a group picture was taken and a delicious lunch was provided by the ladies of St Viator Parish, where we had the opportunity to share our pastoral experiences. After the lunch, Clergy from the Dauphin Ukrainian Catholic Deanery had a regular Deanery meeting.

Plans for location of the next year's meeting will be decided later.
