ANNUAL CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC EVENT TAKES PLACE IN WINNIPEG

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services of Manitoba organized a large three-day gathering of faithful from across the province for May, 4, 5 and 6, 2018. The weekend Catholic Charismatic Conference offered a series of talks, liturgies and Confession and counselling.

They managed to draw a capacity crowd to the Winakwa Community Centre in southern Winnipeg. Eucharistic Liturgies were the highlights on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday Fr. Michael Wallbaum preached, while on Sunday - the Archbishop of St. Boniface, His Grace Albert LeGatt was the main celebrant and homilist. Many other clergy attended throughout the conference. At the designated time for the Sacrament of Penance (Saturday noon) a dozen priests were available in the large multipurpose room. Among the priests were four from the Archeparchy of Winnipeg: Fr. Michael Krochak, Fr. Frank Szadiak, CSsR, Fr. Andrew Wach, Fr. Michael Kwiatkowski. A number of faithful from the Archeparchy of Winnipeg were also on hand, both as participants and as part of the volunteer staff.

The speakers this year included - aside from the above mentioned Archbishop LeGatt and Fr. Wallbaum - Deacon Ralph Poyo; Natalie Jaworski and Maria Vadia.

The Conference began Friday night at 7:30 PM and concludes with the noon-hour Eucharistic Celebration on Sunday.
