All is lost in war; all is to be gained in peace

September 2, 2014

This year September 20-21 a military pilgrimage will take place at a Marian Center in Zarvanytsya, Ukraine. The six’s annual pilgrimage will bring together representatives from different armed forces, security forces, soldiers from ATO, wounded soldiers and their families. The pilgrimage once again will bring together all of them to this spiritual center to pray for peace and harmony in the country that they defend.

Nurturing peace and defending it - is not just duty of men and women in the Armed Forces of Ukrainian, but it is a vocation of every Christian to guard the peace received from our Lord, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you" (Jn. 14; 27).

Fostering peace in our hearts is a direct response to Lord's call, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Mt 5, 9).

Let all of us join in a prayer for peace in the world and in a specific way for peace in Ukraine.
