At the Sobor: Day 4, Entry 2
August 26, 2015
All delegations were invited to have a display area in the main meeting hall of the Sobor. Each was given two tables and a computer. What they did with it was up to the delegation. Well, this is a interesting part of the Sobor as various eparchies, institutions and companies set up their information exhibits on two levels of the theatre where the speeches and principal presentations take place. Every display is unique. Australia has a large inflated kangaroo as part of theirs. Education institutions like Canada's Sheptytsky Institute and the Ukrainian Catholic University offer a myriad of brochures and newsletters. Ukrainian organizations and companies offer their publications and articles which very much in demand by the Sobor delegates, making purchases to take back to their home parish catechism programs and liturgical needs.
One of the most noticeable displays is that of the Winnipeg Archeparchy. At our display we have brochures, copies of the final report from our Archeparchial Sobor. Canada souvenir pins and an ongoing "slide show" on the computer screen with the pictures that were provided by the parishes throughout Manitoba. The world is getting a glimpse of the churches and people that make up our vibrant parishes throughout the Archeparchy of Winnipeg.
Our Winnipeg delegation stands beside the Winnipeg display Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak, Monsignor Michael Buyachok, Fr. Michael Kwiatkowski.
