WORLD DAY OF GRANDPARENTS AND THE ELDERLY

In preparation for the second World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly (Sunday, 24 July 2022), you will find, in the attached Outlook file, a letter from His Eminence Cardinal Kevin Farrell to CCCB President Bishop Raymond Poisson, as well as relevant documents.
As described in his official message, Pope Francis invites all dioceses and eparchies to celebrate this day together so that we ensure "no one lives this day in loneliness." The theme chosen by the Holy Father for the occasion is "In old age they will still bear fruit" (Ps 92:15).
In response to this invitation, the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life has prepared an extensive pastoral and media toolkit to assist local initiatives.
You are invited to widely distribute, within your diocesan networks, the official logo, message, catechesis, prayer and pastoral guidelines, including the hashtag #ElderlyandGrandparents.
In support of this initiative, the CCCB Office for Family and Life has curated all the Dicastery's resources (Pastoral Kit and Media Kit) via the links below.
